COUNSELLING / PSYCHOTHERAPY IN NOTTINGHAM & ONLINE
Zion Counselling is the Private Counselling / Psychotherapy Practice of Ellen Parsons
MBACP (Accred) Counsellor / Psychotherapist
Welcome
I am a qualified BACP Accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, with a broad experience of counselling individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and with diverse needs and presentations.
My approach is predominantly Person-Centred, and as your counsellor, I will be seeking to actively listen and help facilitate your process, whilst offering compassion, acceptance and sensitivity; I also draw on other theoretical approaches where appropriate, (i.e. incorporating a more integrative approach).
I will offer you a safe space, where you may explore and process, with encouragement and support, any difficult emotions, or issues you are struggling with.
Through the counselling process, you may gain a deeper understanding of yourself, along with greater clarity, new perspectives and increasing self-worth, helping you move forward more constructively in your life and relationships. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my approach and I respect and encourage your autonomy within the therapeutic process at all times.
Where your Christian faith informs your life and relationships, you may wish to bring, and explore aspects of this as part of your therapy. As a Christian counsellor, I am here to support you through this process, and may draw on aspects of a well-established integrative Christian psychotherapy model (CWR) where appropriate, and if desired by you.
